LAGUNA B — Y Vase

LAGUNA B — Y Vase
For Laguna~B—long associated with a bright, playful vernacular—the project explores a more restrained, materially driven object. Drawing on visits to Murano, attention shifts from decorative traditions toward lesser-seen industrial techniques, using simple wooden molds to focus on the architectural discipline that produces the final forms. Rather than relying on color, the vase foregrounds texture. Its surface is shaped through vetro ghiaccio, in which a thin blown layer is shock-cooled and re-encased in molten glass, suspending fissures within the material. The campaign adopts a more scientific, less personal register, treating the vase as a study in process, structure, and transformation.
